Tommie Whobrey

Tommie is a graduate of Grayson County High School Class of 1990. In 1994, he received an Associates Degree in Surgical Technology at the Bowling Green State Vo-Tech School. After moving to Huntsville, Alabama in 1995, Tommie began his seventeen year career with Ruby Tuesday as a restaurant manager. In the fall of 2011, he left Ruby Tuesday and began the process to follow the career he had wanted since he was fifteen years old. Tommie attended classes at Mid-America College for Funeral Service in Jeffersonville, Indiana, and in 2013, received his Bachelor's Degree in Mortuary Science, while working at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. "I could now do what I had always desired to do as my career," Tommie said. "I could treat every loved one with dignity and respect and help families through the difficult time of loss." In July of 2013, Tommie was given the opportunity to return to Grayson County and serve the families and friends closest to his heart at Watson & Hunt. "I am proud to be home and serving my hometown."
Tommie continues to be active in local Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts for over fourteen years, in which four of his boys have been members. He enjoys watching his sons play football. Tommie is a member of Bloomington Baptist Church in Leitchfield.
