If there is one thing about this job that gives Alyson the most satisfaction, it is being able to be there for others during a time they need it the most. Alyson has continuously expressed that she is honored to be able to guide and comfort those who are going through one of the most vulnerable times in their life and guiding them through the grief process. She is there to hold a hand, lend an ear, give a hug, and be their comfort.
For Alyson, Owensboro, Kentucky is incredibly special in many ways. Above all, it is her home. Over the years, Alyson has formed deep connections to this community. Upon winning the title of Miss Owensboro in 2018, Alyson used her title to give back to the community, working with The Daniel Pitino Shelter and various Hospice Care agencies.
As a young leader in our community and the commonwealth of Kentucky, Alyson has also earned the title of Miss Kentucky Bluegrass 2020. Her experience as an ambassador have instilled an extensive knowledge of communication skills, which she utilizes her at Haley-McGinnis when meeting with families in need.
Outside of the funeral home, Alyson is a member of Immaculate Catholic Church an alumni of Owensboro Catholic High School and is also actively involved in supporting the Catholic faith. Alyson also enjoys spending time with her family, her fur-baby Graycie and her pet fish, Dude.
