Vernon Capps, 83, of Glasgow, KY, passed away from Covid Complications on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was Born on February 15, 1938 in the Peytonsburg community of Cumberland County, Kentucky to the late James Levi and Pansy Whitley Capps. Vernon retired from Farmers RECC at the age of 77. He was a faithful member of the Glasgow Wesleyan Church. He loved the time he spent tinkering in his garage and loved raising a large garden that he shared with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Claywell Capps of Glasgow; two daughters, Sheila Capps of Glasgow, Beverly Marable (Gary) of Glasgow; two granddaughters, Erin Lowe (Brent) of Glasgow and Stacie Able (Geoff) of Vero Beach, FL; one grandson, Brad Marable of Nashville, TN; one great-granddaughter Matilda Able; two sisters, Frances Key (Ivan) of Bowling Green, KY and Linda Witcher (Gary) of Glasgow; one brother Malcolm Capps of Indianapolis, IN.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Capps and Jean Brown, one brother, Earl Capps.

Funeral services for Mr. Capps will be held 1:00pm Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 1st from 10:00 am until time of the service.

Family and friends may visit at 1:00pm to participate in the live-stream of the funeral celebration.

All those who wish to honor and remember Mr. Capps in person at the visitation or service must wear a mask or other appropriate facial covering and practice physical distancing while inside the funeral home for the safety of those in attendance.
