Starla Warren, 53 of Owensboro, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 after a long and courageous battle against Multiple Sclerosis. Starla was born in Owensboro on September 10, 1967.

She was preceded in death by her father, Randall Lowe and most loyal pet, Max.

Starla is survived by her husband of 20 years, Jim Warren, who loved her dearly, her mother, Rosa Lee Appleby; her sons Michael Simon and Austin Warren; her brother, Randy (Cassandra) Lowe; a sister, Vicky; her sister and brother-in-law Sherri (Russell) Kimmel and beloved pet, Buster.

Services will be 7:00 pm Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.

  1. Rosa Lee and Family, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Beautiful Daughter, Starla. I know your hearts are heavy. May Our Lord send you His Loving Strength from Heaven, and may she Rest In Peace.

  2. Prayers for Starla’s whole family and her friends! I took communion to Starla many Friday’s for the past few years. She was very sad that the Academy buildings at Mount Saint Joseph will need to be taken down. She had asked me to try to get a brick from there for her. May she Rest In Peace!

  3. RIP Starla, we met in third grade, and were friends through high school. Thoughts and prayers for your family. It was a pleasure being friends with you during our childhood. You were a lot of fun. Great memories.
