Richard Oexmann Devins, 68 of 120 Ewing Road, died on July 2, 2006 at his home. He was born in Daviess county, Ky. to the late John Thomas Devins and Elizabeth Elliott Devins. He was retired from Glenmore Distillery in maintenance. Was a member of the Catholic Faith, enjoyed gardening, playing cards and being with his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Diana Carlock Devins; daughter, Alisa Devins Young of Owensboro; triplett granddaughters, Bailey, Brittany and Brandi Young; sisters, Rita Cecil and her husband, Frankie of Sorgho and Dorothy Wathen of Owensboro, Nancy Dunn and her husband, Bernard of Lewisburg, Ky., Margaret Ann Gibson of Sun City, Florida, Mary Demaree and her husband, Ed of Raleigh, N.C.; brothers, JamesJimmyDevins of Owensboro. Services 1pm. Thursday, July 6, 2006 at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is from 2 to 8PM. Wednesday and 9 to 1pm. Thursday at the funeral home. Reverend Rick Wedding is officiating. sharing of memories are at 6pm. Wednesday. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The family requests that expressions of sympathy in the form of donations to: Education fund for Bailey, Brittany and Brandi Young % South Central Bank, Carter Road Branch, Owensboro, Kentucky 42301. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

  3. Diana, I am so sorry for your loss. I will always remember Richard coming in to the BBQ Restaurant and most recently when I owned the GEM cafe. He was a great man who always had a smile on his face. He will be deeply missed.
