Reverend Earl Lambert McCrady, 79, of Wayside Drive, Owensboro died on Saturday, April 10, 2004 at his home. He was born on June 12, 1924 in Evans Landing, IN to Elbert Edwin and Lela Madison McCrady. He retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a lockmaster after 37 years. He was also a U.S. Army veteran with service during the WWII; participated in five major battles including the Battle of The Bulge; a founding member of Owensboro First United Baptist Church; a 50 year member of Owensboro Masonic Lodge #130- F&AM; a member of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. Preceeding him in death was his parents and 3 brothers, Clyde, Herbert and Charles. Surviving is his wife, Nola Martine Hall McCrady of 61 years of marriage. Also surviving is son, Earl Wayne and Shirley Hodges both of Owensboro. Surviving grandchildren are David Christy McCrady of Philpot; Pamela Tim Goodman of Owensboro; Tony Julia Hodges of Fenton, MO; Cheryl McCrady of Maceo and Donna Lush of Indianapolis, IN. Great grandchildren are Christopher & Lisa Goodman; William & Georgia McCrady; Sophie, Joshua and Dalton Hodges. Surviving brother is W.H. McCrady of Philpot and sister, Edna Purcell of Owensboro. The family wish expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Owensboro First United Baptist Church or Hospice & Pallative Care of Ohio Valley, Inc.
