Otis Hicks, 89, of 2937 Royal Drive, died on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at Hermitage Care Center. He was born on May 30, 1916 in Lewisport, Kentucky to George and Le Alsop Hicks. He was retired from Swan Cleaners as a dry cleaner, a member of Woodlawn Methodist Church, Windridge Country Club and Owensboro Lions Club. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, walking and talking to neighbors and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Fielda Brady Hicks in 1988 and 2 brothers, Paul Hicks of Owensboro and Roy Hicks of Lewisport. Surviving is his wife, Mary Martine Hicks, 2 sons, Otis Allen Hicks and his wife, Judy and Ronald Lee Hicks and his wife, Mereda all of Owensboro. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, Scott Hicks, Jennifer Hicks, Eric Hicks, Tracey Dawahare and Renee Hicks, and 5 great grandchildren, Katelyn and Ally Hicks, Joseph and Malia Hicks and Allison Lee Dawahare, a sister, Mrs. Todd Judelle Burden of Lewisport and 2 stepchildren, Billy Martin of Owensboro and Millie Baker of Louisville, KY. The family wish expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Woodlawn Methodist Church.
