Maurice Peter Ebelhar, 74 of 2519 Ky. Hwy.1554 of Owensboro, Kentucky died on Sunday March 7, 2004 at Owensboro Medical Health Systems and was born on October 28, 1929 in Daviess County, Ky. to the late Peter J. and Clara Weber Ebelhar. He was a retired farmer and a USARMY Veteran of Korean War. Was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church and Mens Club, 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus Sorgho Council #6101-Charter Member Daviess County Lions Club, Owensboro Catholic High School Athletic Booster Club, Past President Kentucky State Tractor Pullers Association, was in charge of making the burgoo for fifty-one years at St. Mary Magdalene Picnic. He enjoyed fishing, golf, nascar, UK Athletics, Tractor Pulling and being with his grandchildren. Preceded in death by his brother & sister-in-law; Dennis & Martine Ebelhar. Surviving are his wife; June Dibble Ebelhar of 52yrs. of marriage. Sons and daughter-in-laws; Dr. Maurice Wayne & Annetta Ebelhar of Leland, Mississippi, Larry C. & Brenda Ebelhar of Naples, Florida, David Lee & Pam Ebelhar of Owensboro, Ky., Dr. Stephen A. & Bonnie Ebelhar of Marion, Illinois, Peter J.PJ & Sarah Ebelhar of Owensboro, Ky., Richard Brad & Marilyn Ebelhar of Owensboro, Ky., daughters and son-in-laws; Sandra Ebelhar & Bobby Clark of Bowling Green, Ky. and Donna J. Ebelhar & Daniel Diachun of Lexington, Ky., grandchildren; Michael & his wife; Carrie Ebelhar, Matthew, Brandon, Billy & B.J. Ebelhar, Christopher & Jonathon Ebelhar, Nicholas & Ryan Ebelhar, Caroline & Drew Ebelhar, Rocky, Libby, & Jack Ebelhar, Jill, Corey & Greg Clark, Brandon, Amanda & Lindsey Fischer. Brothers and sister-in-laws; Vincent & Mary Phoebe Ebelhar of Owensboro, Ky. and Kenneth & Stansell Ebelhar of Owensboro, Kentucky and sisters and brother-in-law; Margaret & John Reisz of Owensboro, Ky., Lorena Stephen of Owensboro, Ky., Clara Marie Gillis of Owensboro, Ky. Services are at 10:00am. Tuesday at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, visitation at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home from 2:00 to 8:00pm. Monday and 8:00 to 9:30am. Tuesday, prayers are at 6:30pm. Monday. Reverend Richard Powers will be officiating. The family wish that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to St. Mary Magdalene Building Fund and American Cancer Society.
