Mary C. Durbin 82, of 111 West 18th Street died on June 4, 2004 at Owensboro Medical Health Systems and was born in Daviess County, Ky. to the late Richard Emmett and Ada Mathilda Payne Head. She was retired from the Executive Inn after 9yrs., was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella, enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening and her pet dogChristie. Preceded in death by her husband; Leonard Durbin who died on December 7, 1973, brothers; Bernard Head, 1942, Francis Head, 1987, sister; Mary Leora Payne, 1997. Surviving are her sons and daughter-in-laws; Leonard Martin & Wanda Durbin of Cleveland, Tn., David E. & Sheila Durbin of Panther, Ky., James L. & Cindy Durbin of Philpot, Ky., Richard & Mary Durbin of Owensboro, Ky., daughters and son-in-laws; Mary Ellen & Leo Hagan of Owensboro, Ky., Linda C. & Robert Shoemaker of Florrissant, Mo., Connie J. & Danny Thompson of St. Joseph, Ky., grandchildren; 23, great grandchildren; 32, great great grandchildren 7, great great great grandchild; 1, brothers; James E. Head of Henderson, Ky., Earl E. Head of Louisville, Ky., Virgil Head of Whitesville, Ky., sisters; Ann Payne of Owensboro, Ky., Theresa Rohr of Phoenix, Arizonia, Mary Magdalen Head of Owensboro, Ky., Bertha Serich of Lennon, Michigan. Services are at 10:00am. Monday at Blessed Mother Catholic Church, visitation from 2:00 to 8:00pm. Sunday and 8:00 to 9:30am. Monday, prayers will be said at 4:30pm. Sunday. Reverend Freddie Byrd will be officiating. Burial will be in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery.
