Margaret Irene Jones, age 86, of Glasgow, died Friday, July 3, 2020 at TJ Community Hospital. She was born in Flippin, KY on July 16, 1933 to the late Clyde Thomas and the late Flossie (Wood) Thomas Smith. She was a housewife and a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Margaret was a devoted wife and mother who loved gospel music. She was a member of the Gospel Crusaders for 34 years.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, William “Bill” Jones; two sons, Robbie Dewayne Jones (Becky) of Glasgow and Danny Milo Jones of Glasgow; one brother, Arlie Thomas (Virginia) of Glasgow; one sister, Ersie Houchens of Glasgow; one sister in law, Rosemary Thomas of Glasgow; one son in law, Lanny Whitlow of Glasgow; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive as well as her dog Pepper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Jackie Lynn Jones and Donna Jones Whitlow; one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 5th at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday and Sunday morning until time for services.

  1. So very sorry to hear about Margaret, we lived next door to her and Bill for 27 years .we would stand at the fence and talk for a long time , And really enjoyed talking to her.I am so thankful with Jesus sacrafice that we have a hope to meet again.I know she will be missed .

  9. The jones family has always been very special to my family. We have shared so many memories and especially fish fries. Know this is a great loss. Please know your in my thoughts and prayers. I hope to get by but not sure. May God bless you all in the days ahead and so glad for the reassurance of a glad reunion day that Margaret sang so often about!!

  11. I am so sorry to hear about Mrs Jones. She was one of my special customers at Stage Stores in Glasgow. She never left without giving me a hug. She was such a sweet lady and friend.
