Marcia Lee Perkins, 73, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born in Peru, IN, February 20, 1947 to the late Kenneth Corbin and Mary Corbin who still survives. Mrs. Perkins retired from R. R. Donnelley where she worked in the accounting department for over 25 years. Marcia loved volunteering at her church, especially working in the Kids Hope program at First United Methodist Church where she has been a member for over 20 years. She was also an avid supporter of the Next Step program.

Along with her mother, she is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy Perkins; three sons, Kevin Werner (Kathy) of Glasgow, Aaron Werner of MI, Gregory Werner (Hilaria) of AZ; and three grandchildren, Corbin Werner of Glasgow, Alexander Werner of AZ, and Madison Perkins of TN.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by a stepson, Chris Perkins.

The funeral service for Mrs. Perkins will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, June 21st at A. F. Crow & Son
Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Saturday and Sunday morning until time for service at the funeral home.

  20. So sorry for your loss. I’ve known Marcia for several years through BSF and was in her discussion group this past year. She had such a sunny personality and a beautiful smile and a marvelous sense of humor. This is not “Good bye,” it is only “See you later!”

  25. My deepest sympathy to Marcia’s family and friends. I knew her as we grew up in Inverness, Fl and attended elementary school and graduated with her from Citrus High in 1965. I have many fond memories of her during that time especially her big smile and bubbly personality. My prayers are with all of you.

  27. I came to know Marcia through BSF. She was my wonderful group leader and then I enjoyed being a group leader along side her. Marcia was thoughtful, loving, kind and encouraging all with a good sense of humor. She loved and served the Lord well. Marcia will be missed.   28. We are so sorry for your loss. Our family has worshiped with Marcia at church for over 15 years. Marcia was always so kind and friendly to us. We worked alongside each other on different activities over the years and I admired her so much. She gave of her time and energy to better our programs. She was involved in what seemed like every aspect of the church, and I marveled at her work ethic, volunteerism, and love for the church and all people. She was one-of-a-kind and we are going to miss seeing her smile and getting hugs from her. There is no doubt, Marcia is with the God she served so well here on earth.
