Mable P.CindyPorter, 83 of 1620 East 20th Street died on July 6, 2005 at her home. She was born in Butler County, Ky. to the late Estill and Cordia Hammers Peay. She was retired from General Electric after 40years in the tube assembly line. She was a member of the Hall Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, and flowers and working in the yard, and reading the Bible. She is preceded in death by her husband Elmer Porter who died in April of 2000, also two brothers, four sisters. Surviving are three brothers; Billy Joe Peay and his wife, Bea of Owensboro, Ky., Howard Vernon Peay and his wife, Shelvia of Bowling Green, Ky., Carl Ray Peay and his wife, Ella Mae of Owensboro, Ky.; three sisters, Lucille Adkins of Whitesville, Ky., Jean Carrico of Owensboro, Ky., Augusta Wells and her husband, Tommy of Rockport, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. Services are at lpm. Friday at Haley-McGinnis Chapel, visitation from 2 to 8pm. Thursday, 9 to 1pm. Friday. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Rev. Joe Kitchens will be officiating.
