Lena Margaret Fox Moore, age 81 of Falls of Rough, passed away Friday, May 29th 2020 at her residence. She was born May 2nd 1939 in Gainesboro, Tennessee, the daughter of Albert Lee & Dora Flatt Fox.

She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Jack Moore, three sons, Randy Moore (Kathy), Ronnie Moore, & James Moore (Kim), one sister, Opal Robinson, two brothers, James Fox & Lewis Fox, eleven grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl Fox, Aaron Fox, & Robert Fox, five sisters, Mary Ann Daniels, Ruby Ward, Anna Dimple Fox, Reba Christine Fox, & Dorothy Jean Fox, and her daughter-in-law, Jennifer Moore.

A memorial service will be held a 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 3rd 2020 at the Lone Star Church of Christ in Falls of Rough. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time Wednesday afternoon at the church.

  1. Jack, we are so sorry to hear of Lena’s passing. Roy & I are praying for you and your family.

    I sure did enjoy bowling with her and all the cards she would make, and the food she made for the bowling dinners Love and prayers.

WE ALWAYS ENJOYED OUR GOOD TIMES TOGETHER WITH JACK AND LENA.. THOSE SPECIAL PEANUT BUTTER CRACKERS SHE BROUGHT, ENJOYING WHILE BOWLING. MOST OF ALL LENA’S LOVE FOR JESUS AND A FAITHFUL SERVANT.     Uncle Jack, THANK YOU for being my other ‘parents’. You and Aunt Lena were always there for me. I can’t say enough THANK YOU’s and GOOD things about the both of you. Love to you, Randy, Ronnie, Jimmy and their families. Please know you are also, in my heart and prayers…..always.

  4. I have very fond memories of Lena and Mary Ann. We would always have a huge yard sale at Ruby’s. Lena was such a sweet woman and I lived reading her memories of working at the Shamrock Hotel in Gainesboro and other memories. She will be deeply missed. Please accept my deepest condolences and may our Father in Heaven be with each of you during this difficult time.

  5. Lena will be missed, she was a great lady. Have known her since she started attending Lone Star Chutch of Christ , she abd Jack used to set up at the Flea Market with my Sister and me.and I played Words with Friends with her until she got to where she could not . Prayers for Jack and the Family.
