Laura Jones Brown 97 of Glasgow died Friday, May 5, 2006 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Barren Co. she was the daughter of the late Henry Dexter Jones and Minnie Starr Jones and wife of the late Stanley Raymond Brown. Mrs. Brown was a member of the South Green Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son Billy 'Buck' Brown (Patty) of Glasgow; a daughter Margaret Brown of Horse Cave, KY; 4 grandchildren Kim Durham (Tim), Pam Bray (Junior), Janet Harp (Jeff) and Bethany Matthews (Mason) all of Glasgow; 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by 2 brothers Ellis & Molton Jones and 2 sisters Christine Dunst and Evelyn Frasier.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday, May 7, 2006 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00pm Saturday at the funeral home.
Laura was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. She was such a fine lady and we will certainly miss her. I always thought so much of her.

I am sorry I couldn’t make it to the funeral home. I know it’s hard for you all(it hasn’t been long for me). But from personal experience I know it is a little easier knowing she is at peace in heaven. I thank God for that every day. You all are in my tho
