Lacy Michelle Houchens, 35, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away peacefully with her husband and family by her side, Saturday, October 23, 2021 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born September 5, 1986 in Glasgow, Kentucky to Richard Holland and Tamathy Bullington Chandler. Lacy graduated Class of 2005 from Allen County High School and from Daymar College with a bachelor’s degree in business. Mrs. Houchens was the former Social Services Coordinator for the Salvation Army. She was extremely proud of her job title and loved helping and caring for anyone in need. Lacy was a very compassionate, kind person and loved rescuing animals, taking pictures, crafting, and tending to her flowers. She was also a member of Cedar Cross Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Michael Houchens; stepfather, Randy Williams; children, Michael Peyton Houchens, Eli Smith, Zackary Smith, Evyn Smith, Madilyn Smith, Michaela Brown, Renae Pvirre; one grandson, Michael Benjamin Houchens “Peanut;” three brothers, Chad Hagan, Jerrett Williams, Caleb Holland (Jennifer); three sisters, Michala Holland, Kathy Smith, Sabrina Pvirre; pa and ma, Michael and Betty Bullington; mama, Wallice Houchens; and beloved dog, Sadie.
She was preceded in death by her pop, Richard Lee Houchens and mammy and granddaddy, William and Mildred Bullington.
The funeral service for Mrs. Houchens will be held 1:00 PM Friday, October 29th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Cedar Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday morning until time for the service at the funeral home. The family requests all those who attend the visitation and service to please wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
