Ken truly loved his job because he was interested in the youth at risk and the chins kids. He built an excellent relationship with those in the E unit and wanted to make a difference in their lives. Ken was a quiet man but occasionally related an experience about his coworkers or the youth. What Ken loved most was when he was asked a bible question! Maybe you saw Ken walking and received a Bible track from him, or while shopping he may have initiated a bible conversation Ken endeavored to share the comfort message of the Bible and Jesus Christ promises. Ken also enjoyed writing people who needed comfort. Most of all Len loved volunteering with the local Vincennes Christian Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses. Ken attended Bible Education Training classes in Texas in 1984, Evansville  in 2005, and Washington in 2015. Those who knew Ken well, remembers how he didn’t want to call attention to himself, therefore Respecting Ken’s wishes there will be not be any type of funeral services. 1. He was truly a wonderful man. My deepest condolences to his family. I appreciated his kindness and respect while working with him at the youth village.

  2. To the family of Ken Selby, you have my deepest sympathy. He was a great youth village co-worker & will be missed by many youth & staff (past & present). Rest in Peace Mr. Selby.

  3. One time years ago I was cleaning snow off my car, and Ken walked by. He stopped
to talk. I told him that my husband had been in the hospital with a heart attack. Not
long after that in the mail I received one of the most beautifully written letters with
painstakingly perfect penmanship, beautiful handwriting. I still have it. I had never
met him before but he took the time to care. In later years I would see Cynthia at the
bank. She is so sweet. Deepest sympathy to you Cynthia and all the family.

  10. WoW thanks for all the lovely expressions! I always enjoys how excited Ken’s coworkers would get when they saw him in public! One night we were at Chucks, gasing up and a carload pulled over like Ken was a celebrity, I just laughed. Or the many cards he would receive. Malinda dont cry, just remember the comforting scriptures and smile! And thanks Sandi! hope you’re doing well.

  14. Uncle Kenny was my favorite uncle. Although I didn’t see him often, our time together was precious. Much like his Mom, my grandma (Mary) he kept me on my toes when the Bible was concerned. I will always remember to “Sit Pretty”
