Joseph Glenn Greenwell, 69 of 518 Suffolk Drive, died on Sept.18, 2005 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born on May 14, 1936 in Curdsville to the late Clement T. Greenville, Sr. and Elsie O'Bryan Greenville; also preceded in death by his first wife, Jacquelyne O'Bryan Greenwell, 1962; second wife, Patricia Ann Calhoun Greenwell, 2003; two brothers, William E. Otto and EugeneHankGreenwell. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, KC#6101, USWA Local 4959, AAA, His Home Group 22nd Street. He was very loving and caring and was a driving force in Alcoholics Anonymous. He celebrated his 16years of sobriety, March 12, 2005. He loved gardening and bar-b-queing. Surviving are his wife, Betty Hatfield Greenwell; three sons, William P. Greenwell and his wife, Gisela of Owensboro, David A. Greenwell of Denver, Col., Todd Greenwell and his wife, Donna of Owensboro; two step-sons; Billy Hatfield and his wife, Charlotte of Stanley, Teddy Hatfield and his wife, Altha of Greenville, NC.; two daughters, Glenna J. Greenwell of Owensboro, Tracy Hayden and her husband, Jeff of Owensboro; step-daughter, Patricia Mullen and her husband, Hugh of Stanley; grandchildren, Samantha and Megan Greenwell, Ryan, Lauren, Blake Hayden, Katie and Olivia Greenwell, Miranda and Rachel Greenwell; step-grandchildren, BJ, Ethan, Laura Hatfield, Amber, Josh Hatfield, Bryant and Will Mullen; two brother, ClementTinkGreenwell and his wife, Ruby of Frankfort, LarryBuckyGreenwell and his wife, Vickie of Utica; three sisters, Edna Hefron of Newburyport, Ma., Rita Ridgway of Nicholsville, Claudia Thurman and her husband, Charlie of Sonora; sister-in-law, Connie Greenwell of Owensboro; several nieces and nephews.

  9. Billy, I will really miss my Owensboro connection. Joe gave me alot of rides in ’89 when we were both new to the fellowship. He’s helped thousands and will live on in the meetings.
