John
John William Millay, 75 of 525 Bolivar St., died March 10, 2005 at his home. Born in Daviess County, Ky. to the late Hugh and Catherine Bea Mattingly Millay. He was retired from Kelley Wilmore, was a member of St. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church, enjoyed bicycling and trading. Also preceded in death by his daughter; Delphine Roby on January 1, 2004. Surviving are his wife of 52yrs. of marriage, Mary Millay, two sons; Rick Millay and his wife Imelda of Sorgho, Larry Millay and his wife, Diana of Masonville; three daughters, MargaretMaggieMcNeely and her husband John of Owensboro, Brenda Simmons and her husband Gene of Owensboro, Vickie Woods and her husband Ricky of Versailles, Ky.; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; five brother, Claudie Millay of Knottsville, Buck Millay of Owensboro, Herbert Millay of Hartford, Tommy Millay of Owensboro, Mike Millay of Owensboro; six sisters; Agnes Harley of Owensboro, Clara Brown, Betty Payne, Rosie Merserve, Stella Higdon all of Knottsville, Marguarite Lanham of Owensboro, and several nieces and nephews. Services are at 10:00am. Monday at St. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church, visitation from 3 to 8pm. Sunday and 8 to 9:30am. Monday, prayers at 7pm. Sunday at the funeral home. Reverend Brian Roby will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

  8. I remember when John was in the hospital numerous times.He would always come to the desk and talk to me. He always called me Ronnie’s wife. He was a sweetheart.
