James Wallace Duvall, 84, of Glasgow passed away Sunday March 14, 2021 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born in Barren County on July 9, 1936 to the late Henry Walthal Duvall and Mae Houchens Duvall (stepfather William Houchens). James was a farmer until 1973 when he started working at Eaton Axle Company and worked there until his retirement. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, member of Coral Hill Baptist Church and attended Canaanland Baptist Church for several years.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Hazel Mae Wooten Duvall; three sons, David Duvall (Tina), Edward Duvall ( fiancé Starla), and Marshall Duvall (Michelle) all of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Benjamin, James Daniel, and Ed Duvall; three step grandchildren, Shaunna Wheat, Kayla Baker, and Ellen Jolly (Travis); six greatgrandchildren, Jed, Tenley, Tatem, Tyleigh, Kennon, and Keagan; three step great grandchildren, Tyson Graham, Jayden Baker, and Jace Jolly; one sister, Betty Myers; three half-sisters, Lilly Runyon, Judy Green, and Sue Carroll; two half-brothers, Earl Duvall and Billy Duvall; his god child, Taylor Mae Hall; several nieces, nephews and his loving pet Lulu also survives.
In addition to his parents and stepfather, he is preceded in death by his half brother Robert Duvall.
Funeral service will be 2:00pm Thursday, March 18, 2021 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. DAV Chapter #20 will provide Military honors at the cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and on Thursday morning until time for service at the funeral home.
