Imogene Cooper, 78 of 1000 Hwy. 1554, Stanley, Ky. died on July 21, 2005 at Bon Harbor Nursing Home. She was born in Hancock County, Ky. to the late George and Mayme Patterson Roberts. She was a member of the Peoples Baptist Church, enjoyed quilting, gardening and cooking. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Frances Lee Cooper and a brother, David Clifton Roberts. Surviving are her husband of 62years of marriage, Malcolm Cooper; three sons, David Cooper, Terry Cooper and Dennis Cooper of Owensboro; seven daughters, Ruby Adkins, Brenda Aull, Sandra Adkins, Debbie Snowden, Patricia Peay, Connie Casteel, and Donna Cooper all of Owensboro; 21 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren; five sisters, Mary Cooper, Margaret Cox, Martha Faye Roberts, Hazel Mattingly and Thelma Sue Cox all of Owensboro; several nieces and nephews. Services are at 1:30pm. Monday at Haley-McGinnis Chapel, visitation is from 3 to 8pm. Sunday and 12 to 1:30pm. Monday. Reverend Tim Russ will be officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
