George 'Punkin' Wells, Sr. 74 of Glasgow died Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at his residence. Born in Barren Co. he was the son of the late Frank Wells, Sr. and Lennis Depp Wells. Mr. Wells was a member of the First Christian Church and former Vending Machine operator for Cuatros Inc. and an avid Fastpitch Softball Pitcher. Survivors include his wife Pearl Wells; 2 sons George O. Wells and wife Marietta of Glasgow and Danny K. Wells and wife Terri of Glasgow; 1 daughter Charlene Poynter and husband Winford of Glasgow; 4 grandchildren Coty Spillman, Leatha Poynter, Abby Wells and Ben Wells all of Glasgow; 3 sisters Billie Tolle of Glasgow, Effie Dean and husband Joe of Glasgow and Jeanette Button and husband Terrell of Glasgow; 1 sister-in-law Louise Wells of Glasgow; 1 brother-in-law Bobby Anderson and wife Alyce of TN; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 1 brother Frank Wells. Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday March 31, 2006 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00am Thursday at the Funeral Home.
