August 6, 1941 ~ October 22, 2005
Francis Nicholas Kurz, 64, of Owensboro passed away, Oct. 22, 2005 at his home. He was born Aug. 6, 1941 in Daviess County, to the late August Frederick Kurz and Goldie W. Kurz. He was retired from NSA in Hawesville as a welder, after 18 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and he was a big fan of NASCAR and enjoyed attending local sporting events. He also enjoyed spending time with family and his many friends.He was preceded in death by two brothers; Joseph Kurz and John Kurz. Surviving is a son, Darin Kurz of Owensboro and a daughter, Julie Hoffman and her husband, Mike of Mt. Washington, KY. Grandchildren: Alexandria and Sean Hoffman. Two brothers, Jim Kurz and his wife Marilyn of Owensboro, Tom Kurz and his wife, Mary Ann of Owensboro and many nieces and nephews. Five sisters; Janet Fullerton and her husband, George, of Ocala, Fla., Betsy Kamuf and her husband, Bill, of Louisville. Rose Rousoff and her husband, Joe, Corvallis MT., and Shirley Hagman and her husband, Daniel, of Hawesville, and Judy Kurz, of Noblesville, Ind.
