Everett Eugene Thompson, 68 of 3500 Ashlawn Drive, died at 10:39am. at Owensboro Medical Health System on August 18, 2005. He was born in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Charles Urey and Mary Ethel Barr Thompson. He was retired Director of Administrative Services with the Kentucky Alcoholic Beverage Control Board from 1998 until May 2004. He worked at EM Ford Insurance Company for 14years. He worked fro NSA as supervisor for 12years. He also was a farmer until 1968 when he retired. He was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church, former member of Democratic Executive Committe Lector, Euchastric minstery at Blessed Mother, also member of the choir, Brescia Alumi, enjoyed hunting, golfing and politics. Preceded in death by his brothers; Charlie Thompson and Ronnie Thompson. Surviving are his wife of 48 1/2years of marriage, Jane Brasher Thompson, four sons, Mike Thompson and his wife, Lillie, Jim Thompson and his wife, Jackie, Gene Thompson and his wife, Judy all of Owensboro, PatDocThompson and his wife, Joan of Nashville; two daughters, LynetteBabeBender and her husband, Tim of Louisville, Elizabeth Thompson of Bowling Green, Ky.; nine grandchildren; Jacob Urey Thompson, Wesley Spurrier, Katie Thompson, Amber Spurrier, Laura Thompson, Taylor Bender, Ross Bender, Matthew Thompson, and Jared Thompson; one brother, William J. Thompson of Owensboro; nine sisters, Marie Davis of Nashville, Tn., Lois Coomes of Fort Worth, Tx., Barbara Enlow of Elizabethtown, Margaret Newton of Philpot, Tommie Clark of Louisville, Jeannie Thompson of Browns Valley, Ellen Badles of Finchville, Brenda Murray of Fortworth, Dr. Kaye Thompson of Wisconsin. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to; St. Joseph Peace Mission for Children, 1328 West 3rd St., Owensboro, Kentucky 42301.
