Ernest Russell DeWeese 83 of Glasgow, Kentucky died Monday April 4, 2005 at the NHC Health Care Facility in Glasgow. Mr. DeWeese was born in Barren County the son of the late John Shaffer DeWeese and Bessie Jewell Ferrell DeWeese. Mr. DeWeese was a retired purchasing agent for Farmers Rural Electric Co-op Corp. and was a member of the Bethel Independent Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Lucy Evelyn Williams DeWeese and a daughter Barbara Sue DeWeese. Survivors include: 3 Daughters Faye Landrum and husband Barry of Glasgow, Brenda Davis and husband Medford of Glasgow and Vickie DeWeese of Glasgow; 1 sister Goldia Thomerson of Greensburg, IN; 1 brother Joe DeWeese and wife Diane of Summer Shade, KY; 3 grandchildren Chris Landrum, Greg Jones and wife Christie and Amy Buss and husband Tim; 2 great grandchildren Amber and Gage Jones; 2 sisters in law Maureen DeWeese of Kansas City, MO and Leola DeWeese of Seymour, IN and Several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also preceded in death by three brothers Roscoe, Paul and Lee DeWeese and a sister Elsie Bray. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday April 6, 2005 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to either the Alzheimer's Assn., 3703 Taylorsville Rd. STE 102, Louisville, KY 40220-1330 or the American Diabetes Assn., 2207 E. Morgan Ave., Suite H, Evansville, IN 47711.
