Dana Ruth Bennett Reagan, 81, of Glasgow, passed this life on Monday, February 21, 2022, at her residence. She was born in Glasgow on May 3, 1940, to the late Robert Fulton Bennett and the Martha Lois Hay Bennett. Dana retired from the United States Post Office as a Mail Carrier and was a lifelong active member of the Glasgow Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, whom she married on July 2, 1963, William “Billy” Reagan, Jr,; daughter, Meredith Hurlbut; two grandsons, Benjamin & Jonathan Poore; four sisters, Jaura Jeanette Garmon, Alva Jo Grimes, Loyce Stucki, and Joyce Meredith; two brothers, Bobby Bennett, and David Richard Bennett; son-in-law, Billy Poore.
Survivors include three daughters, Allison Watkins of Glasgow, Lesli Norris (Danny) of Arrington, TN, and Vicki Poore of Glasgow; seven grandchildren, Cole Swafford, Taylor Swafford Whitney (Michael), Emmery Norris Sadler (Sam), Shelby Norris Hammond (Mark), Lindsay Norris Lofty (Kyle), Jason Poore (Bonita), Chris Poore (Stacy); 10 great grandchildren, Grayson Whitney, Kelton Whitney, Crew Hammond, Clay Lofty, Nola Lofty, Dylan Poore, Tyler Poore (Mallie), Michael Poore, Matthew Poore (Rebecca), and Travis Poore; one brother, Johnny Bennett (Beverly) of Hardyville, KY; several nieces, nephews, and a special group of friends also survive.
Funeral service will be 3:00pm Friday, February 25th at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00am until time for service at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers the family request that a donation may be made to Shanti Niketan Hospice Home c/o/ T.J. Community Mission Foundation 1301 North Race Street Glasgow, KY 42141, Community Medical Care 204 North Race Street Glasgow KY, 42141 or to the Glasgow Baptist Church. A.F. Dana Ruth was one of a kind and always willing to care for others. She loved all of her family with all of her heart. So sorry to hear about her passing, but God knows she isn’t suffering anymore. Prayers for the family as they go through this difficult time.
Dana Ruth was a true friend, in fact, just like family. Always had that cute smile & such a caring person. She will certainly be missed!
