Cecil Chappell Schwartz, 85 of Hillcrest Health Care Center died on Monday, March 21, 2005 at Hillcrest Health Care Center. She was born in Breckenridge County, Ky. to the late Charles Roscoe and Flora Ellen Stillwell Chappell. She was retired from General Electric, Brescia College, Ky.Wesleyan College and St.Stephen Cathedral as a food service manager and a cook. Mrs. Schwartz enjoyed painting, writing, quilting, cooking, being with familiy, playing yahtzee and gardening. She was a member of St. Stephen Cathedral and did volunteer work for the hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter EdwardDutchSchwartz in 1990, grandsons; Anthony Dale Head, Henry I.Head, Jr., Darrell Wayne Roby, and James Michael Roby, son-in-law; Russell Gunterman. Surviving son, Ronald Schwartz and his wife, JuanitaNitaof Owensboro, Ky., daughters; Virginia Morgan and her husband Jerry of Owensboro, Ky., Patricia Carol Gunterman of Owensboro, Ky., Jean Horn and her husband John L. of Thruston, Ky., Mary Elizabeth Roby and her husband Junior of Fordsville, Ky., Margaret Montgomery and her husband Frank of Fordsville, Ky., 28 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren; brother, Earl Chappell of Merced, Cal., sister; Ruby Gaddis of Friendly Village. Services are at 11:00am. Thursday at St. Stephen Cathedral, visitation from 2 to 8pm. Wednesday and 9 to 10:30am.Thursday, prayers; 6:00pm. Wednesday. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Rev. John Vaughan will officiate.

  1. Hello everyone,I wanted to say how sorry I am to hear about Aunt Cecil.My mom Ruby Gaddis told me about Cecilher sister mom and dad have been sick and mom has been in and out of the hospital all winter.I dont think she will be able to make it to the funer
