Cassie Rae Horton age 24 of Edmonton died Thursday in Glasgow as the result of an automobile accident.   Born in Glasgow she was the daughter of Chasity and Lee Young of Edmonton.  Cassie was an employee of Luttrell Staffing and of the protestant faith.   Cassie felt her greatest accomplishment in life was being a mom to her son Arcadius Barlow.     Cassie was also very proud and honored to have been on the Lindsey Wilson cheer leading team while attending college.  Other survivors include one sister,  Ellee Young of Edmonton,  two brothers Jimmy Lee Young of Edmonton and Jacob (Angela) Horton of Lebanon.  Her grandparents Ann and Gilbert Slayton of Mt. Herman,  Jimmy and Sheila Young of Edmonton and Sharon Jones of Edmonton.   A very special friend Miranda Craft also of Edmonton.    Funeral services for Cassie will be held 1:00 PM Monday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Hubbard Cemetery.  Due to the current Covid-19 crisis the funeral service will be limited to close family only.   A walk-through visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday and after 9:00 AM Monday at the funeral home.  A mask will be required during the visitation and services.   Butler Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to be entrusted to the care of Cassie.   Please share your condolences with the family at www.butler-funeralhome.com.

  8. Kas, you helped me in more ways than I can count and I tried to return the favor whenever I could. You were my best friend. I really cared about you two and tried my hardest to be a worthy friend through thick and thin. You always made time to put up with my crap despite never having time and it meant a lot to me. My heart goes out to Cade and the rest of the family. There’s no replacing you. I’m so sorry.

  9. Cassie made me feel welcomed the moment we met and took me in as a friend. She was such a great encouragement to me these past couple years when it was needed the most. And even though we didn’t get to see each other much, every conversation with her was a good one, like there was no gap in time. Thank you so much Cassie for keeping me company on New Year’s Eve, we talked about babies and pregnancies unto the year 2020. Your baby cousins will know what a wonderful and joyful person you were. Thank you for my first gender reveal party, you took the time to plan a special event for a stranger and I’ll always be grateful for that. To all the friends and family of this amazing young woman, I am truly sorry for your loss. From the little time I knew Cassie I can tell she had a heart filled with love and love for others, she will be greatly missed but always remembered.
