Carroll James Davis, 94, of Owensville, IN went to be with the Lord Christmas morning peacefully surrounded by family. He was born in Maud, IL May 31, 1927 to the late Homer Davis and Leona (Coker) Davis. Carroll attended and graduated from Owensville High School. He married the love of his life, Rosie Fern Davis, August 4, 1955. Carroll retired from Whirlpool after 28 years of service. He was active in the Owensville Church of the Nazarene. Carroll was a hard working and loving father. He was known as a skilled handyman and always staying busy.
Carroll was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Patty Haines, Oma Rausch, Dolis Stillwell, Harroll Davis, Edgar Davis, and Charles Davis.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rosie; children Paul (Elizabeth) Davis, Bonnie Simmons, Perry Davis, and Shari (Kevin) Thomas; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
Holder’s Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Davis. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 10a-12p at Owensville Church of the Nazarene. Funeral will be held at 12p with graveside to follow at Maumee Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sandy, Barb, and Mia at Intrepid USA Hospice for their compassionate care to Carroll.
