Carl Martin Miller, age 80 of Leitchfield, passed away Friday, October 2nd 2020 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield. A native son of Leitchfield, he was born June 8th 1940 to Louis & Roxie Wells Miller. He worked for CSX Railroad Company for 42 years maintaining their telecommunications systems. Along with his dedication to his work, Carl was a member of the Clarkson Baptist Church as well a member of the Wilhelm Masonic Lodge 720 F&AM and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Carl loved watching Kentucky Basketball, socializing with his numerous friends and considered a good man by all who knew him. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and a faithful friend.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Nell Wortham Miller, three children, Carla Brenner, Glenn Miller, & Melissa Miller, and one grandchild, Miles Miller.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Louis Miller and two sisters, Frankie Taylor & Ann Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday October 6th 2020 a the Watson & Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Sanders Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.

All those who wish to honor and remember Carl in person at the visitation or service are required to wear a mask for the safety of all those in attendance.

  1. So sorry to hear he has passed. I know him and my dad, Walter Barton, were always friends. My condolences.

  2. So very sorry for the passing of Carl. As a neighbor to you for 25 years, I have known you all as long as I have known my family. Many prayers for all.

  3. I always enjoyed visiting with Carl. He had an infectious smile & bright blue eyes and we always found something interesting to talk about. I’m so sorry to hear of his passing.

  5. What a blessing he was- especially to my folks, Bob and Shirley Heil. I’m sure they are comparing those bald heads!

  6. Carl will be missed by all who knew him. Carl helpd Linda Clements and with Repair Affair every year that we had it. I don’t know of ANYTHING he could and would do anything we need done.
    I imagine Carl and Linda are hammering away on some Senior Citizens house in heaven. Thanks to the both for what you did on earth. Carl was a great and kind person.
