Bryon Joe Ballard 17 of Glasgow, KY died Friday night from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Barren County Friday. He was born in Glasgow, KY January 25, 1988. Mr. Ballard was a member of the Junior Class at Barren County High School and had been an employee of Houchens Markets and had just begun employment with Greer's Florist. He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Glasgow. He is survived by his mother Melinda White Ballard of Glasgow; his father and step mother Joey and Candance Ballard of Glasgow; a sister Courtney Ballard of Glasgow; two half brothers Travis Scott Ballard and Cody William Ballard of Glasgow; his maternal grandparents Tommy White of Glasgow and Linda Graham of Glasgow; paternal grandmother Janice Furlong of Glasgow; Great Grandparents Mattie Houchens of Glasgow and Martin and Nina Ballard of Glasgow. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Frankie Ballard, step grandfather Howard Graham and great grandfather Willie Day Houchens. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday Sept. 20, 2005 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11:00am Monday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.

  8. Bryon was a great person. He was always happy and always found a way to cheer up everyone else. I have had french and drama both with him and they will never be the same again. I hope he knows how much he is truly missed.

  9. My prayers are with your family during your loss. I had Bryon everyday in advisor class during his freshman year. Not a day went by from that year on that Bryon did not stop to say Hi! or to share a brief story with me. He also helped me with my groceries

  15. I have been Bryon’s English teacher for the past two years at Barren County High School. I can honestly say that I’ve never had another student quite like Bryon. He was so full of energy. He brought a positive aspect to my classroom like no other student
