Betty Jean Payne, 77 of Cannelton, IN, formerly of Owensboro, Passed away February, 12, 2010 at her home. Born January 11, 1933, in Daviess County, to the late Harold & Ruby Clouse Sapp. She was retired from Pinkerton Tobacco Co. Betty was a member of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed her hobbies of Reading and Dancing. Her husband, James A. Payne; a daughter, Linda Crump, and a son, James K. Payne, preceded her in death. Surviving is her daughter Brenda & her husband Ricky W. Kleeman of Cannelton, In. 7 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home. Visitation will be 3:00PM-8:00PM on Monday and 9:00AM-11:00AM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sorgho, Ky following the services.
