Bertha M. Sweat, 88 of Philpot KY., passed away 1-29-05 at her home. She was born in Vincennes Ind. 10-26-16 to the late Charles Wheatley and Philisita Wheatley. She was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church for 32 years and was a member of Cross Beams Sunday School Class and a past member of Woman's Mission Group, St. Louis. She enjoyed her yard work and was a Cardinals and Braves fan. Her husband, J.C. June Sweat proceeded her in death, in 1975. She is survived by her son, Ron Sweat, Sr. and his wife, Linda of Owensboro. One grandaughter Kim Lawrence and her husband, Phil of Philpot KY. and a grandson, Ron Sweat, Jr. of Owensboro. Five great grandchildren, Myles, Amber and Brittain Sweat and Rachel and Shaina Lawrence. Three sisters, Loretta Jane Hale, Surprise, Arizona, Anna Louise Clagett, Winter Springs, Fla and Mary Donovan, Vincennes, Ind.
