Anna Marie Gibson age 74 of Millerstown, KY was born July 7th 1946 in Grayson County, KY. The Good Lord called her Home on December 14th 2020. She was the daughter of Michael & Mary Ada Downs. She married her husband, Robert on December 27th 1963. She was a member of the Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church and was saved in 1961 at the age of 15. She was a homemaker, but her true calling in life was caring for others.

She is survived by her two children, Marsha Wiseman (Matt) and Kevin Gibson; four grandchildren, Logan & Makayla Wiseman and John & Jack Gibson; two brothers, Willard and Bobby Downs; a host of nieces and nephews, as well as a wonderful church family also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents, Michael & Mary Ada Downs, and one brother, Murl Thomas.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 19th 2020 at the Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church. She will be laid to rest in the Little Flock Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday (Dec 18) at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the Church.

All those who wish to honor and remember Mrs. Gibson in person at the funeral home and/or at the church are required to wear a mask or face covering while inside the funeral home and/or at the church for the safety of all those in attendance.

  1. I was privileged to work with Anna’s daughter Marsha for years and then spend a few shifts with her in ICU. Such a humble lady that loved her daughter. We are so mad this virus took you but we are sure you are dancing with angels

  4. To my Dear Sweet Aunt Marie I’m so shock you left us so quick with covid-19, I know you was so scared of catching it! But now your in a Peaceful place with no worries and no pain. And back to the love of your life husband uncle Robert! Marie was such a kind loving lady to everyone she had meet, she loved everyone, you will be Greatly missed by everyone! I could go on and on! She was such a great mom with kids living in a Christian home and her grand children too. I hope and pray I will get to see you one day again Aunt Marie, and dad Willard Downs. Your brother he loves you so much and he will miss you so much I know he will be home to see you all one day too, Marie we Love you so much and will Greatl miss you and I will miss our long talks on the phone we had! ❤️

  8. Aunt Marie you left us way too soon. So thankful for photos and memories. I have so many wonderful memories visiting you and uncle Robert from my childhood. I was so blessed to have you in my life. You were such a wonderful Christian role model. You always had that beautiful smile and always enjoyed company.
    Prayers for Marsha, Kevin and their families to stay strong and know that you are now with Robert and rejoicing in the beautiful heavens.
    You will be missed tremendously.

  9. Prayer for Marsha, Kevin and their families. The loss of Aunt Marie is so heartbreaking. I pray that God gives you strength to make it through the days ahead. Marie was such a loving, sweet soul. So many wonderful childhood memories of visiting you all. I pray for my dad and Willard. I know they are hurting in so many ways.
